Although hair loss is not a serious health hazard, it can often tend to be a common cause for concern. On an average we lose about 100 strands of hair on a daily basis. This hair however re-grows from the same the follicle after some time, to make up for the lost one. In some people though, the fallen hair is replaced by a thin re-growth, after this new hair in turn has fallen, it is replaced by an even thinner one. This constant thinning of hair eventually results in the failure of the hair follicles to produce new ones, causing hair loss.
Home Remedies to Regrow Lost Hair
Following a few home remedies can help you restore your hair. Make a mixture of sage tea and apple cider vinegar. Use this to rinse your hair; it will help in improving hair growth and the texture of the hair. Massage tree tea oil into the scalp. This will keep the scalp clean by killing any bacteria that may be present. Another option would be to massage lavender oil into the scalp 3 times in a week. The oil has to be left on the scalp for 15-20 minutes after which you can rinse it off with warm water. This has been proved to increase hair growth considerably. Mix together half a teaspoon each of jojoba oil and rosemary oil. Warm the oils over low heat and then apply the warm mixture on your scalp. Leave it on for a few hours before you rinse it off. Another valuable remedy to improve hair growth is the use of black pepper and lime seeds. Grind the two together into a fine powder and then add some water to make a paste. Apply a small amount of this paste on the scalp and leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse it off thoroughly with warm water. This treatment will enable the follicles to generate stronger and thicker hair
Pay attention to what you eat. A diet that contains proteins is essential, as they contain certain amino acids, which are responsible for hair growth. Several vitamin and minerals in fruits and vegetables are also essential for healthy hair and should be included in your daily diet. Drink plenty of water as even the hair and scalp needs moisture, thus keeping them adequately hydrated at all times is important. Maintain a clean scalp and avoid using a hair dryer on your hair. Following these simple guidelines will gradually restore the quantity as well as the quality of your hair.
