Neem Hair Treatment Oil | Neem Oil for Hair Loss and Lice

Neem Hair Oil

Margosa, also known as Neem, has some wonderful properties which makes it popular for use in home remedies, beauty products and medicinal commercial products. In fact, a lot of families in places such as India grow margosa trees themselves such that fresh leaves can always be used. Margosa hair oil is yet another commercial product that incorporates neem leaves. While it is advocated to prevent hair loss, it is still a matter of debate whether any hair oil can actually help against hair loss. However, many people do benefit from the same, so when treating hair loss, margosa oil can be added to the regular home care treatment. This would include nourishing the hair and treating it with gentle care.

Getting rid of lice

The problem with lice is that they are not only tough to kill but that it is easy to miss some of them. This problem often inevitably results in a recurring infection of lice. Thus, the trick to getting rid of them would be to constantly watch for them and to treat the head at least twice. It would be inadvisable to use margosa oil for treatment of lice, since in most cases it is simply not strong enough, but you can use it with regular treatment. A case of head lice would require specific medical treatment, which may be sought over the counter. It would also be important to manually take out the nits or eggs since missing these might mean that they could still hatch and become a nuisance. A manual treatment would be to use a fine tooth comb after careful partitioning of the hair, such that the lice have little chance of escape.

The ease of transmission of lice means that it is not just the caregivers but everyone else in the house that has to be careful. A simple matter of sharing the same bed linen or putting it in the same wash could possibly lead to a problem. While you would need to wash the sheets regularly, a separate wash load with hot water, and cleaning the tub later would be necessary. The problem of lice is treated more as a socially embarrassing one, but people have to understand that it is easy to get lice and that it does not signify lack of cleanliness or personal hygiene. What should matter is that the problem of lice needs to be treated carefully and only when the head has been cleared of lice should one risk going to school or work.
