Strong hair roots are a must for good hair, as healthy hair roots are the foundation of great hair. For that, having a healthy scalp and maintaining it is essential. We take a lot of pain to care for hair, but end up overlooking the scalp. To have strength and vitality in hair roots, you need to shift your focus to the scalp, where the roots lie. The hair originates from the roots, which grow out of follicles. These follicles resemble tubes, which hold the hair roots. The follicles enjoy the support of blood vessels inside the head, which nurture the hair roots. These hair roots should be nourished by oiling the scalp, roots as well as the hair. By oiling thoroughly, you massage your hair and roots, and that stimulates the blood circulation and the roots too.
Treatments for Weak Hair Roots
You can use coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil, castor oil or even almond oil for oiling your hair and scalp. You can use these oils separately or mix some of them. Coconut oil, castor oil, and olive oil together make a great combination. Warm them together mildly and massage well into your scalp at night, as this procedure helps penetrate both the hair shaft and the follicle to nourish and make them stronger. Then take a towel soaked in hot water and wrap it on your head properly. This procedure somewhat resembles steaming, which makes the oil seep into the roots. The next morning, wash your hair with a shampoo which suits your hair type. While shampooing, don’t pile up your hair on the top of your head, as it leads to entangled hair. When you try disentangling it, you end up pulling some strands out, right from the roots, which is obviously damaging to them. After shampooing, the next step is deep conditioning your hair and following it with some heat to the scalp in some way. You could use a hair dryer for that purpose. However, don’t use the hair dryer for too long, and hold it a few inches away from the head. Use a wide-toothed comb too while combing hair, but do this only when your hair is dry.
Don’t forget to have a balanced diet. Include proteins and biotin to your daily diet. These nutrients are essential for good, strong hair, and are present in green vegetables, pulses, and meat products. Stay stress-free and be careful about your health, as it definitely has an effect on your hair.
